By way of introduction I want to let you know a little more about myself, things that are important to me, and some directions that I would like to see the ministry take in the days and years ahead. I have been involved with ministry at Agape for many years, from learning as a child to teaching Sunday School.  I am also involved in music leadership and have now been called by God to be a Deacon.  I met my beautiful wife Margaret here at Agape at a very young age.  I began attending here at the age of 6 and Margaret has been here from the age of 8, and were both saved at that time. We have two children; Seth who is 15, and Mason who is 12.   Agape has been an integral part of our lives and we know that this is where God has chosen for us to serve.  Our prayer is that God will continue to grow us and use us at Agape and that He will do the same for you.

I want to share with you some convictions that I have, in order to explain some of things that will be happening in the future. First and foremost, I believe that God passionately loves us all and desires an intimate, personal relationship with each one He calls. God created us so that we might glorify Him!  As a member you may expect to receive an encouraging card in the mail or even a few phone calls from myself or one of the leaders involved in the ministry. The vision is that each member will be mentored by caring, growing Christian leaders and that we may glorify God by a surrendered, dedicated, and perfecting Christian walk.

Another conviction I have about ministry is that God is a loving, gracious, and welcoming God. He calls people of many classes, races, and backgrounds to respond to His love. In heaven, we will join believers who in life were very different from us. We will always seek to be a Christ-like, welcoming group. The Scriptures reveal that Jesus loved and befriended many types of people from many walks of life. We will work hard to help maturing Christians grow deeper in their faith. We will also work hard to attract and bring people to faith in Christ. Not everyone will look the same or be in the same place in their walk with Christ. I believe that great things happen when we serve others. It is an awesome experience to allow Jesus to love other people through us.

I also believe that the greatest Christian ministry does not take place in the church. I believe that real Christian influence happens in the home, through your personal relationship and study, to the training of your child.  Other than Christ, no one can have any greater impact in a child’s life than his or her parents. We want to do everything that we can to support Christian growth in families and the Christian home! I hope that you will come to see the ministry leaders at Agape as a support team for you in this amazing task of raising children who know and love Christ. You as the parent will play the most crucial role in your child’s Christian growth. We believe that involvement in our ministry will help you achieve this goal. We will need your influence to keep your children involved. You will need to push your children to complete homework before Sunday so that they can be able to participate more fully.  You will need to live a Godly example before them so they may see the type of Christian they should be.  We want to provide you with biblical training to assist you in this.

I am proud of the history of Agape Baptist Church.  I believe that God has already done incredible things in the lives of the families here, but I am even more excited when I dream about the future. I thank you for your support, your prayers, and your involvement. Let me know how I can serve you and your family. I am here for you, and I look forward to us growing and building this ministry together!

Sola Deo Gloria!
